    The panel of tutors offered strong support and affirmation for the core concept of The Flux of Consensus

    Specifically, tutor David F suggested establishing a clearer reference guide and classification system connecting anxiety to coffee stains, helping participants intuitively navigate the input system to generate richer, more targeted responses.

  • Presentation Review: I demonstrated the research archive poster, the theoretical framework, and initial TouchDesigner dynamic prototypes to the assessment panel.

    : David F highlighted that while the liquid metaphor is strong, users need clearer conceptual scaffolding. Without guidance, participants might struggle to map their abstract personal anxiety into tangible visual parameters.

    : I committed to developing a structured category guide to help participants identify, calibrate, and input their specific emotional states into the system.

    Midterm presentations provide crucial reality checks. 

    While initial artistic concepts can feel clear to the author, fresh eyes reveal where onboarding friction lies. 

    David’s feedback made me realize that participatory design requires clear guidance—giving users a structured reference framework actually empowers deeper, more expressive personal contributions.

    To address David F’s critique, I established a structured classification framework: the Six Perception Dimensions of Anxiety. 

    This framework serves as a visual and psychological guide for participants before they interact with the digital canvas.

    How
    Dimension Taxonomy: I deconstructed academic and daily anxiety into six defined perceptual categories (e.g., temporal deadlines, peer comparison, perfectionist pressure, somatic tension, social isolation, and uncertain futures).
    Interface Integration: These six dimensions act as categorical entry points in Module 1. Instead of facing a blank void, users can locate where their tension stems from, providing immediate context before they begin drawing.

    Data Calibration
    : Each dimension influences base visual properties—modulating color temperature, fluid viscosity, or edge diffusion in the liquid simulation.

    Reflection
    Categorizing emotion into six explicit dimensions transforms a chaotic subjective feeling into a readable design language. 

    It builds a bridge between individual self-reflection and computational parameter input, ensuring every generated stain carries a clear psychological story.

  • System Pipeline: I connected mouse-position coordinates and press velocity directly into the dynamic Feedback-Displace-Level node setup built in previous weeks.

    Fluid Physics Tuning
    : After days of continuous parameter adjustment, I achieved dynamic edge bleeding—as the user moves the cursor, the drawn path immediately reacts like real liquid spreading on textured paper, bleeding outwards and forming dark edge rings when idle.

    Tactile Response
    : The interaction now feels incredibly responsive, with every stroke yielding organic, unpredictable liquid behavior in real time.
  • Reflection
    Fine-tuning interaction feel requires endless patience. Code doesn't naturally feel organic; getting digital pixels to mimic the fluid dynamics of a wet coffee mark demands painstaking calibration of feedback attenuation and displacement strength.

    Seeing the mouse trace transform instantly into a living, spreading stain was immensely satisfying—the interactive engine now truly works.
