  • Information Hierarchy: I organized the poster into distinct modular zones—pairing numerical consumption charts alongside qualitative quotes about academic anxiety and high-detail macro imagery of physical coffee and tea stains.

    Visual Grid System
    : I designed a rigorous layout grid that allowed dense empirical data and organic liquid textures to exist in visual harmony, transforming raw field notes into a structured visual repository.

    System Foundation
    : This archive acts as the physical database and design blueprint for the interactive installation.

  • Reflection
    Synthesizing scattered research into a single visual poster is an invaluable clarifying step. 

    It forces you to see relationships between seemingly unrelated data points—like how interview sentiment scores correlate directly with coffee consumption spikes. 

    Beyond documentation, the poster serves as an intuitive visual ledger for the entire project.

    What
    With the research phase thoroughly archived, I transitioned into designing the software logic for the generative system. I structured the system framework into three distinct operational modules: Information Input, Visual Translation, and Visual Output.
    How
    Module 1 (Information Input): Defining what data enters the system (e.g., consumption frequency, stress self-assessments) and how users submit it (e.g., digital forms, physical sensors).
    Module 2 (Visual Translation): Establishing the algorithmic rules that convert abstract data variables into visual parameters mimicking physical coffee and tea stains.

    Module 3 (Visual Output): Designing the dynamic interface where generated visuals are rendered, alongside controlling user interactivity and adjustable parameter parameters.

    Reflection
    Breaking a complex interactive installation into three clear modules prevents technical overload. 

    Generative design requires equal attention to data ingestion, math/algorithmic mapping, and UI/UX presentation. 

    Structuring these pipelines early ensures each component serves a purpose before writing the first line of code.

    The core challenge of dynamic identity systems lies in the translation layer. 

    If the mapping is too random, the visual loses meaning; if it’s too rigid, it feels like an infographics chart rather than an expressive art piece. 

    Defining these interactive boundaries now ensures the system remains both meaningful and aesthetically evocative.
